Controversial bill barring public unions from collective bargaining passes Utah Senate
Americans for Prosperity-Utah released a statement celebrating the passing of the bill, claiming teachers’ unions have “fought against school choice reforms that a majority of Utah taxpayers support.” “For far too long, public sector unions have had an outsized influence in our government. This commonsense reform will ensure that Utahns hard-earned tax dollars are serving the needs of the public, not unaccountable unions,” AFB-UT Director Kevin Greene said.
AFP-Utah Calls for Utah Fits All Scholarship Expansion
AFP-Utah has called on the legislature to expand funding for the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program. It is currently the subject of a lawsuit by the Utah Education Association.
